Winter in Pinedale Wyoming: 10 Winter Activities to do in Pinedale

Pinedale Wyoming is a great summer destination and sees a large influx of tourists and travelers venturing through the town during those warm months from June-September. In October, the town welcomes the hunting community as people venture out to the many public lands surrounding town to try to score an elk, deer, or moose! What happens after October though?

The snow starts to fall and accumulate in the high peaks of the Wind River Range as early as September. By Thanksgiving, snow starts to accumulate at the local ski hill, a 30 minute drive from town! So what does one do in the isolated, wintery town of 2,000 people in the winter?

1. Ski at White Pine Ski Resort:

White Pine Ski Resort is Wyoming’s oldest ski hill founded in 1940 on National Forest land. The resort is popular with locals as well as Rock Springs and Jackson Hole locals. There are 29 ski runs ranging from beginner greens, to advanced black runs.
